Good application of the KISS princible WD and WDO - but you missed one step - Check the fuses!
HAven't got a wiring diagram here but that might be the first place to start in tracing electrical issues - only thing for certain is that the KISS princible ( Keep it simple Stupid) is definitely in order when tracing electrical problems
Keep the rubber side down and the kiss princible in mind
